Thoroughly enjoyed this 4 week course with Fiona and Beth. I swim front crawl in open water but wanted to improve my efficiency. Found just a few tweaks to my stroke and tips along the way has helped enormously over the last 4 weeks. Fiona’s teaching style was just what I needed and feel more confident in my ability.

We started this course as complete beginners, just getting our heads in the water felt like a big step! But Beth and Fiona were brilliant at breaking everything down into simple, manageable drills, and somehow it all started to click bit by bit each session.
Beth was so patient, gave really clear instructions, and because the class was small, she could tailor things to each of us individually which made such a difference.
We’ve come away feeling so much more confident. Our front crawl might not be perfect, but we can actually do it now, which feels amazing! Honestly can’t believe how much we’ve learned in such a short time. Would absolutely recommend to anyone starting out or feeling unsure in the water.

This was a very enjoyable four week course. There were 10 of us – with very different abilities but this was taken carefully into account. I feel much more confident in the water and am determined to keep practising front crawl. Beth & Fiona gave us some unforgettable tips and tricks!

I’d highly recommend this course. I’m an experienced open water swimmer, currently training for Coniston in June, and wanted to improve the efficiency of my stroke. Fiona was fantastic—she quickly identified key issues (over-reaching and crossing) and introduced targeted drills and cues that completely changed how I think about my technique.
There were a couple of tough weeks while I adjusted and engaged muscles I hadn’t been using before, but once it clicked, the difference was huge. My stroke now feels far more efficient and, importantly, much better on my shoulders.
